Please keep fighting
Please keep fighting.
Though your body not show it,
let your soul grasp the hilt of living
with a force that draws blood.
Your mouth speaks as your soul
sputters and chokes,
your legs walk,
but your soul is running,
feet of Apollo phase through the air
towards Fear.
It is but your mind which connects to the
armies, as they lift pikes that stab through
the neurons,
their pathways intrusive to your own,
melding and mixing,
signals send that you know
you gave no order for.
Their banners flash images of the
unimaginable horror,
what you Fear most,
latches to the billowing cloth.
Moving. Taunting.
So join together,
mind of body,
mind of soul.
Run forth towards no man's land,
and though their artillery shreds all thought in
a concussive boom of intrusive imagery,
let the love you hold trickle through and
be your sword, your gun, your weapon.
Do not lay as boardwalk for their feet,
become the all-encompassing reality for their eyes.
